The Secret to Success in Business or in Life
The Secret to Success in Business or in Life as Revealed by Nobel Prize Winning Physicists, a Chinese Fortune Cookie and a Fictitious Serial Entrepreneur
Dr. Niels Bohr, the father of Quantum Physics, once said, “great ideas often seem muddled and strange when they first appear. They are bizarre, only half understood by their discoverer, and remain a mystery to everyone else. We shall never understand anything until we have found some contradictions.”
Albert Einstein amplified this thought with his pronouncement that “If, at first, an idea is not absurd, there is no hope for it.”
The message I received in a Chinese fortune cookie revealed the secret this way, “Ideas you believe are absurd often lead to success.”
When things don’t make sense, when you feel the ground shifting beneath your feet and you are certain you’re losing your sanity, hold on for dear life because you’re experiencing a mind-altering experience that can take you to the next level of understanding, creativity and accomplishment!
The secret of success in business and in life is to allow yourself to experience the wider perspective the universe often sends disguised as failure or shrouded in fear and to look for the acres of diamonds that may be lying beneath your feet.
As serial entrepreneur Max Elmore says in Dale Dauten’s inspiring book, The Max Strategy, (http://www.dauten.com/books.html) “Experiments Never Fail!” and goes on to show example after example of billion dollar ideas and life altering decisions that turned out to be ‘the silver tint of the clouds of doubt!’
Don’t let the tyranny of logic keep you in its grasp. Just because something defies common sense (like quantum physics) doesn’t mean it’s not a path with heart for you!
